About Me

My Professional History….

I am a school counselor and private practice therapist. I’ve worked in schools for 10 years in elementary and high school settings, implementing family, individual, and group interventions. I also started a private practice in 2022 and work to support individuals and families.

While I support clients in a number of areas, I’m specialized or certified in the following areas:

  • September 2023: Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist (CSTS)
  • August 2020: ASCA Trauma and Crisis Management Specialist
  • June 2021: West Coast Institute for Gestalt Therapy with Children & Adolescents, Basic Intensive Training
  • October 2019: Rush Neurobehavioral Health Center – Executive Functioning Training

A Personal Note…

My family roots go back to Midway, GA and Jacksonville, FL. Family stories describe life about my great-grandfathers selling vegetables and raising hogs. I grew up in a family of educators and civil servants in Atlanta, taking the family vocation to also work in mental health and schools. I have a brother and a stepsister, who live in Texas and Atlanta.

I’m a big fan of college football and keep eclectic interests. I enjoy playing anything active with a ball, especially soccer. You can also find me outside hiking, foraging, or mushroom hunting. I value curiosity and hope to help you explore and strengthen your values too!
