Pastor Cunningham was introduced to the Apostolic church at an early age where his faith grew, and he humbly advanced through the ranks under the leadership of the several pastors and bishops. He held various roles for several years; learning every aspect of the church. He worked from mowing the lawn, cleaning the restrooms to preaching funerals and conducting weddings. His experience as an ordained deacon, elder, youth pastor then senior pastor provided him knowledge and empathy for those he served. He also served 6 years in Armed Forces.

While taking care of God’s business, God allowed him to complete his studies as a Chaplin, Certified Grief Counselor and a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Counseling. His commitment and dedication to God opened doors for him that no man could close and in 2017 he and wife, Felecia, arrived in Lawrence Kansas. They searched for a church home because they knew how important it is to have a church covering. They joined fellowship with Praise Temple. There he was introduced to Church of God in Christ.

He later relocated to Topeka, KS, where he attended Open Arms Outreach Ministries. His consistent work ethic and love for the word of God and HIS people lead him to a new church home. At Open Arms, he was appointed as Men’s Sunday School Teacher, later Bible Study Teacher, then Sunday School Superintendent and President of the Men’s Department by II Administrator Superintendent Pastor S. C. Mitchell. Bishop M. P. Jackson Jr of Kansas Central Jurisdiction appointed him as President of Men’s Department for the Jurisdiction for Men of Valor which is now Men Perfecting Men.

God’s blessings continued to flow and in July 2022 he was installed as Pastor of Praise Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Lawrence, Kansas, where he returned. Pastor Cunningham insists that only what you do for Christ will last.

Today, Pastor Cunningham uses every learned experience, training, and education as a tool to be used for the Master’s use.
